VGA's: Jack Black is like Santa!

Gamers, you know as well as I that it is the most wonderful time of year. The only time of year when can put down that Halo 3 custom plated control, and rise up out of the bean bag chair. . . When you get together with all your friends and family, and everything seems so jolly, and happy. That's right, today is the Video Game Awards on Spike.

The award ceremony is tonight on Spike TV (in America… sorry those 'across the pond') and the nominees look like they all could have a shot at their respective categories… Take a look (my picks are in bold… but some races are just too close.)

Best Multi-Player Game -
Call of Duty: World at War - Has some big shoes to fill after CoD: 4, but World at War is another take on WWII, which oddly enough is still loads of fun.

Gears of War 2

Best PC Game -
Left 4 Dead - Played the demo over, and over, and over… and over again. Was really looking forward to this game… Zombie killing fun for the entire family!

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - Snake's getting old since his 16-bit graphics days, but the game isn't.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - If you haven't played the Super Smash Bros. series, a one-liner endorcing it cannot aptly describe it.

Fable II - This game took Oblivion, and Baldur's gate, plus everything that has happened in the world of Final Fantasy, and rolled it all up into a single RPG. Game of the Year.
